Claire graduated from Birmingham University in 1998 with a BSc in Physical Geography and has since gained an MSc in Public Health (Medicine) from the University of Aberdeen.
Claire joined the Centre for HealthCare and Randomised Controlled Trial (CHaRT) within the Health Services Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen in 2006, and has since managed multiple RCT trials in the clinical fields of Gynaecology, Men’s Health, Ophthalmology and latterly Trauma and Emergency Care Research.
In 2017 Claire began work in a Senior Trial Management Capacity on setting up the UK REBOA Study; an NIHR/HTA funded Emergency Care Trial that looks at the effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness, of Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA) for bleeding trauma patients. The REBOA Study is the first worldwide of its kind and the results are highly anticipated within the Trauma community.
